I went with him last 2013 here to watch these animals so close up. Here I am! Got a chance to swim near the whale shark for 30 minutes limit and of course, there are some rules and regulations to

follow that you have to be aware of.

No hand-feeding, No touching of whale sharks.

No flash when taking pictures.

You should be 2 meters away from whale shark.

Yes! This is one of the most must-try here in Cebu, Philippines. If I were you, why not try and check-off your bucket list and see the beautiful sea creatures so close up.

For Local Advice:

From Cebu South Bus Terminal, look for a bus going to Oslob Destination. Then, tell the conductor to drop you off at Barangay Tan-awan, Oslob for Whale Shark Watching the moment you pay the fare. The fare cost you between 150's to 160's for air-condition.

For Non-Local Advice:

I recommend you to ride a metered taxi from where you are to Cebu South Bus Terminal. To get to your destination here, tell the driver that you are going to Cebu South Bus Terminal.

Note: There are two kinds of taxi, White Cab and Yellow Cab. But, I recommend you to ride a white taxi for cheaper.

When you reach Cebu South Bus Terminal, look for a bus going to Oslob Destination. Then, tell the conductor to drop you off at Barangay Tan-awan, Oslob for Whale Shark Watching the moment you pay the fare. The fare cost you between 150's to 160's for air-condition.

The best time to swim with whale shark is 6 am. So, come early to avoid long lines and sunburn. Note: Whale Shark schedule is only between 6 am to 12 noon because they let the butanding rest in the afternoon. 

DON'T WORRY! There's a solution to your problems. If it's your first time, there is an orientation before swimming with whale shark. If you want to have pictures and you don't have your own GoPro camera, AGAIN DON'T WORRY, there is a camera to rent worth Php 500. But, I recommend you to bring with you your USB for you to transfer all the pictures taken. If you don't have one, there's an empty disc available at the souvenir shop.
